Urwerk

Founded in 1997 by master watchmaker Felix Baumgartner and designer Martin Frei, Urwerk has become one of the most radical and recognizable names in contemporary independent watchmaking. United by a shared fascination with unconventional time displays, the founders developed a distinctive horological language defined by satellite indications, wandering hours, and futuristic mechanical architecture. Drawing inspiration from historical clockmaking, science fiction, and experimental engineering, Urwerk transforms traditional watchmaking principles into extraordinary mechanical creations. Its timepieces are distinguished by sculptural cases, intricate mechanisms, and an uncompromising pursuit of originality. Produced in limited quantities, each watch reflects the rare combination of technical sophistication and artistic freedom that defines the maison. Today, Urwerk remains a pioneering force in avant-garde haute horlogerie.
